This has to be the best way ever to start the weekend, GIN AND YOGA TOGETHER!
I know it sounds mad, but really there is method in the madness. Lets use this evening workshop to unwind and let the yoga sink into the bones with the help of some lovely gin to help relax the muscles so we can access the deeper tissues.
Explore how to activate the parasympathetic and turn off the sympathetic systems; a critical component in our Western culture which is very yang-like: full of stress, burn-out and depletion. Then we will see how to use yoga and our breath, and some gin to turn off the stress and start to rest and recharge the body.
The postures will be simple and accessible to everyone, but this does not mean that the practice will be easy; there will be some challenging moments.
There is a bit of science to it, but mostly it is great excuse to do something you love while doing something else you love.
