Dear floating and dancing friends,
We invite you to breathe, move, dance and float with us from the comfort of your home. Find the quietest and largest room at home in the first session and the most private place, in your bathtub, in the second session.
Join us in exploration of breath, touch and fluid movement to deeply nourish yourself in the present moment.
Joel will play live music intended for Musical Hydrotherapy and we recommend you to use the underwater speaker or an external speaker safe for bathrooms or headphones for swimming.
Helena will guide you to bring touch and movement qualities from the water on land, encourage you to be playful and teach you basic principles of aquatic contact improvisation dance and bodywork. You will listen and move to your breath, stretch and loosen your joints during a warm-up on land in the first session.
In the second session, you will be guided to float in warm water, free from the constraints of gravity, bathing with the sounds. Your body floats unrestricted and expresses what it remembers in a slow and delicate dance. Helena will subtly guide you on how to amplify your movements, assist in releasing tension, and this embodied experience allows your mind to flow into a deeply relaxed state.
With warmest wishes
Joel and Helena

About Joel & Helena
Joel produces Wet Sounds, an underwater listening experience that transforms swimming pools into spaces for music, light and performance experienced by entering the water and moving freely below and above the water surface. Water conducts vibrations faster than air. In water we are weightless, in zero-gravity. We begin our life and perception surrounded by liquid in the womb, perceiving vibrations and sound before we are born. Joel has set up the charity Liquid Vibrations which trains in Musical Hydrotherapy. www.newtoy.org
